Farah Mulla

What is your job title?
Head of Marketing
How long have you worked at Outsourced Events?
I have worked at Outsourced Events for 3 years and 1 month, which is 779 business days. But as I’ve been working part-time (two days a week), in real terms this is a mere 314 business days or just over one year. Looking at it this way makes me feel more accomplished.
What can't you live without?
My boys, life would be dull without them.
Where is the best place you have travelled to and why?
Egypt. I loved snorkelling; the underwater views were remarkable. I managed to see everything from stunning coral, to beautiful fish and even an ancient turtle. I visited the Pyramids of Giza, Tutankhamun, the Sphinx and went stargazing. Despite almost getting killed while riding a quad – it was by far the best holiday. I also could not fault the food and hospitality.
If you could learn to do anything what would it be?
Read and speak all the languages in the world.
When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
I walk around the house looking for something to clean or I browse cleaning, home and lifestyle accounts on Instagram.
What is your favourite thing about working at Outsourced Events?
Having an understanding and approachable senior leadership team.
If you could invite four people to dinner (living or dead) who would you invite and why?
My grandfather, born in 1891, he lived to 97 years old and married a Lady of the Raj. His story would be fascinating.
Arundhati Roy, she is a great storyteller that happens to be Indian.
Tom Hanks, a brilliant actor, he seems like a genuine person, that would be entertaining.
Michelle Obama, she is strong and brilliant. I find her inspirational.
What was your childhood ambition?
To be a fashion designer.
What is your most memorable day at Outsourced Events?
My final interview with Denise. It was an interview I genuinely enjoyed, Denise was simply lovely and put me at ease.
If you could do any job, regardless of skills and training, what would it be?
To be an interior designer or an organisation consultant KonMari style.
What are the top three items on your bucket list?
Travel to see the Aurora Borealis, go on a safari and go skydiving.
What would people never guess you do in your role?
Create themed email signatures.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
After my amazing holiday in Egypt, I would love to have seen the building of the Pyramids of Giza.
