Meet Catherine Lawson ABPCO, Senior Event Manager

Catherine, who joined Outsourced Events in 2023, brings over 25 years of global experience in event management, communications and senior leadership across not-for-profit, public and commercial sectors. She has delivered complex, high-profile events and conferences in partnership with UK and Commonwealth governments, Royal Households, universities, membership associations and FTSE 100 companies, while developing extensive expertise in membership growth, volunteer stewardship and strategic organisational partnerships. She has been an full ABPCO member since July 2024.

Outsourced Events (OE) has been shortlisted for not one, but two awards at the Conference News Agency Awards 2025! The 'Association Event of the Year' and 'Pharma & Healthcare Event of the Year' awards.

The Conference News Agency Awards celebrate the UK's most influential and prolific event agencies, recognising excellence, innovation and outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. 

Outsourced Events has been awarded 'highly commended' at the Business Culture Awards 2024 in the category of ‘Best Learning Initiative for Business Culture (under 3.5k employees)’.

This nomination acknowledges the excellence of the Event Executives’ training programme and highlights OE’s dedication to cultivating an outstanding workplace culture through innovative strategies that boost employee engagement.

 

Outsourced Events won the ‘Pharma & Healthcare Event of the Year' at the C&IT Awards 2024.

The award was won for our work supporting the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy’s (BSGE) prestigious Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2024 in Belfast.

The 2024 ASM exceeded expectations, doubling anticipated attendance, increased sponsor and exhibitor participation, and a record number of sessions and workshops.

Outsourced Events was a finalist at the M&IT Awards 2024 in the category 'Best Intermediary Agency Mid-Size (21-40 employees)'.

Outsourced Events was named 'PCO Agency of the Year' at the 2023 CN Agency Awards.

This award recognises an agency that specifically operates as a Professional Conference Organiser, and which has used its expertise and adaptability to create successful conferences over the last 12 months.

British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy’s (BSGE) Annual Scientific Meeting

Once again Outsourced Events (OE) organised the BSGE's inaugural hybrid conference, which emerged as the most extensive industry conference and exhibition in minimal access gynaecology, drawing a record number of attendees and delegates describing it as the ‘best event’ in the BSGE's 34-year history. This award-winning conference earned OE the 'Pharma & Healthcare Event of the Year' at the C&IT Awards 2024.
