Outsourced Events (OE) has been awarded ‘highly commended’ at the Business Culture Awards 2024 for ‘Best Learning Initiative for Business Culture (under 3.5k employees)’. This recognition highlights the success of the new Event Executives’ training programme.

The awards celebrate forward-thinking companies dedicated to creating exceptional business culture. This commendation serves as recognition of OE’s commitment to fostering an outstanding workplace culture and leveraging innovative strategies to enhance employee engagement.

Take a look at the judges’ positive feedback on our award submission -

‘It is testament to OE’s commitment to learning that they have appointed an L&D with such a small employee base. The programme is well structured and tackles the skills gaps that can open in a hybrid/remote working environment. A great example of establishing a L&D function and culture from scratch with measurable outcomes. It goes to show what a well designed and implemented L&D approach, aligned to a business problem can begin to achieve.’

Over the past 4-5 years, OE has grown from a tight-knit office-based team of twenty-three to a mix of over 40 remote and hybrid workers. With growth comes challenges, chief among them being how to equip junior staff with the knowledge and skills needed for their roles. The Event Executives' training programme effectively plugged this gap by providing comprehensive, structured training sessions. This programme ensured that all new hires, regardless of their location, received consistent and high-quality training, fostering a well-prepared and confident workforce.

Anne Clarke, Head of Learning and Development, had this to say about the commendation –

‘Receiving this recognition is a powerful validation of our new learning and development programme. Moreover, having such thoughtful, detailed, and encouraging feedback from the judges, who are true experts in their field, will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and grow. We now feel inspired and empowered to do even better!’

Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners in this year's awards. It is an honour to be recognised alongside such talented and accomplished professionals.
