Transforming a technical industry gathering into a high-impact delegate experience while protecting its community-first credibility
The 2026 conference brought together 50 speakers and welcomed 267 delegates (a 17% increase on 2025) and the highest turnout in three years. That growth was deliberate: it was to grow its stature in a way that felt credible to an audience who judge an event on the quality of its content, not the size of its production.
Held over two days at Glaziers Hall, London Bridge, the event elevated every touchpoint in the delegate journey, from the first registration email to a riverside drinks reception at The Mudlark

Objective
OasisLMF came to us with a clear objective: deliver a conference that felt as credible and polished as the research being presented within it. Their highly specialist audience accustomed to academic style events, deserved something more. The challenge was to elevate the experience meaningfully, for this they needed a partner that could deliver a slick, professionally executed conference reflecting the organisation's growing standing in the sector, while keeping any enhancements sustainably funded rather than diluting what the community already valued. The Challenge - Making a technical conference feel premium, not staged
For a highly specialist conference with a fixed audience and modest margins, the challenge wasn't to make the event bigger, it was to grow its stature in a way that felt credible to this community. OasisLMF needed to know that every pound spent on enhancements would be felt by delegates. That required real judgement by the OE team on where the biggest opportunities were. The OE team understood that the programme didn’t need a reinvention, but attention on the moments that enhance the experience, the arrival, main stage and the special programme.
The Solution - Targeted upgrades, not a makeover
Outsourced Events took a strategic, incremental approach, putting investment into the moments that mattered most to delegates rather than a blanket redesign. The result was a set of innovative, creative additions rather than a like-for-like refresh: Each addition was chosen for where delegates from their impression of an event (where every photo and livestream frame lands), a full branded backdrop went behind the main stage, an LED lightbox banner greeted delegates at registration (the first physical moment of arrival), and full company branding and signage ran throughout the event space to carry the brand between sessions. Individually modest, together they changed how the conference felt to arrive at and move through
Meanwhile, ticket pricing (reviewed by OE) ensured the event was fully self-sustaining, while covering the cost for improvements
For the first time, an event app was introduced and adopted by 72% of delegates for Q&A, networking and live session engagement, signalling genuine buy-in by the audience.
The Experience - registration to riverside
Our end-to-end delivery covered the full event lifecycle. Pre-event we managed delegate registration, ticketing strategy, venue liaison, supplier coordination, branding production and app onboarding. On-site, setup, registration and logistics ran seamlessly and with the new production elements drawing immediate positive feedback from both the client and delegates.
The standout moment, according to delegates? A drinks reception at The Mudlark, a characterful riverside pub at London Bridge, where fine weather and a genuinely lively atmosphere gave delegates the kind of informal connection technical conferences often miss. Delegate engagement carried well beyond the room too: the event generated significant social media activity throughout, with almost 20 LinkedIn posts shared by attendees across the two days, in realtime, a real signal from a notoriously reserved technical audience.
