Telstra Global UK, a division of Australia’s leading telecommunications company, recently approached Outsourced Events to help them organise a Christmas event to mark the launch of the extension to Telstra’s cloud proposition in EMEA.
Based on the theme, “Christmas in the Cloud”, the team at Outsourced Events selected a number of venues across London with fabulous views in the clouds. It was the glass Dome at Searcy’s The Gherkin that ticked all the boxes for the client, particularly as the venue pulled out all the stops to create incredible “cloud” themed canapés and cocktails.
The event team dressed the room very simply using tubes filled with LED clouds, illuminated poseur tables and Telstra Global’s “Christmas in the Cloud” branding, designed especially for the event.
Guests were greeted at ground level by winged angel hostesses who accompanied them to level 39 and up the staircase, festooned in lights, to the Dome at the top. Tom Homer, Head of Telstra Global EMEA, kicked off the evening with a short address before guests were entertained by a jazz trio, card Shark and a caricaturist, whilst enjoying cloud themed cocktails, canapés and bowl food.
