Delivering an exceptional employee engagement event for 600+ global attendees
Outsourced Events worked with our client Ocean Infinity to deliver a multi-day experience for their diverse teams, spanning many business functions across multiple countries.
Objective
Ocean Infinity needed to bring together their fast-growing global workforce of more than 600 people for their first company-wide leadership summit, Thrive'25. Their aim was to build a shared identity under the theme “We Are One Company”. They chose Outsourced Events to help turn this vision into practical results, that would create genuine connection across numerous newly acquired businesses.

Strategic solutions
The challenge: After numerous strategic acquisitions, Ocean Infinity’s growing workforce brought a mix of backgrounds and perspectives. Only a third came from maritime roles, while the rest worked across technology, engineering, people, safety and procurement. This created natural separations between teams and locations. The secondary challenge was coordinating 300 attendees each day - in staggered groups to keep the business running - while still offering genuinely meaningful engagement required careful planning, strong communication and event management skills.
The solution: Outsourced Events delivered full summit management. Our creative direction centred on “Micro-Worlds” - a distinctive visual concept symbolising the unique yet interconnected parts of the business. This approach combined maritime and technology themes with sustainability elements, supporting Ocean Infinity’s focus on innovation and transformation.
We created a branded marketplace where teams from each business area developed engaging activities to explain what they do. From hard-hat mazes and giant inflatable assault courses to hands-on soil-testing in a pop-up laboratory, each stall represented different business areas whilst extending the Micro-Worlds concept through cohesive colour palettes and themed signage. As one delegate reflected:
“The market stalls were incredibly informative and a great idea, and I really felt like there was an active approach to increasing visibility towards other departments.”
Engagement was boosted through innovative gamification - bingo cards and trail stamp maps encouraged delegates to visit every stand, sparking conversations between colleagues who had never met. A standout moment was Corporate World Record Breakers, where randomly allocated teams competed in challenges like tennis ball passes and football carries, filling the room with laughter and creating the perfect environment for building lasting relationships.
Careful logistics planning ensured smooth attendance for guests travelling from 15 countries across AMER, EMEA and APAC, all while shaping content around sea tech, sustainability and growth.
The experience:
Before the event, preparation covered everything from detailed venue and transport planning to developing the Micro-Worlds visual theme that reinforced Ocean Infinity’s forward-looking mission.
During the summit, Outsourced Events managed the complex logistics of staggered attendance, curated speakers and panels that highlighted internal champions and ran interactive workshops to get teams working together. Delegates appreciated this holistic approach, with one noting:
“It was a well-organised and inspiring event. I really appreciated the opportunity to meet colleagues from different locations and hear leadership’s vision for the future. It reinforced the sense of connection and purpose within the company.”
After the event, we helped keep the momentum going with a dedicated follow-up session for 28 senior leaders, delivered with the same smooth logistics and attention to detail.
