In last month’s article I discussed how sharing knowledge is more than putting information out in the ether, it is also building communities in which discussions can be had and experiences shared. We will be enabling networking and community building; we intend to do this through hosting Knowledge Exchanges. Creating small, sector specific communities that can come together to discuss headline topics and industry news. We are pleased to announce the first of these community events starting with our Associations Knowledge Exchange.
After more than six months negotiating the many restrictions and challenges posed by COVID-19, organisations now have some real experience of virtual events and how these are working for their members (and the wider community). However, the pandemic has significantly interrupted the annual events programme, and this is having a knock-on effect in various ways. This first event in a series of facilitated discussions will bring together several associations, representing a broad spectrum of industries, to review experiences, challenges and effective solutions.
The two focal points of this first roundtable will regard hybrid events and member engagement driving event registrations. During the roundtable we will look into the evolution that has taken place inside the Associations’ sector over the past year and create a community which can collaborate and share learnings.
