Working seamlessly alongside the Citrix UK marketing team, Outsourced Events manages events ranging from 10-person roundtables, to channel partner and end-user conferences for upwards of 350 people.
In a business that moves as fast as IT, good communication is vital. As a multinational corporation on the cutting edge of desktop virtualization and cloud computing technology, Citrix Systems depends on a varied programme of events to connect with their end users customers and channel partners and keep everyone up to speed.
A key event in their calendar was Citrix iForum Edinburgh, the company’s flagship three-day user conference. When OE first took on the event in 2001, it was attracting approximately 800 delegates, 20 exhibitors and required a large contribution from the Q2 budget. Our first priority was to grow attendance while simultaneously transforming the economics of the event. To do this, we radically improved sponsorship sales and implemented a proactive marketing campaign, combining direct mail and email marketing with targeted advertising through the event’s media sponsors.
Meanwhile, introducing a bespoke online registration system allowed us not only to improve administration and payment processing but also reduce costs. No less important was the quality of the event itself, and OE sets the highest standards for event logistics and on-site management. Working closely with the Citrix event team, sponsors and key suppliers, we arranged VIP transport and accommodation across 9 hotels in Edinburgh, on-site signage, branding, staging and AV equipment, delegate registration, catering and hospitality.
Thanks to our experience in effective event management, Citrix iForum Edinburgh was transformed into the industry event of the year.
