theSOURCE: May 2013 Issue

Welcome to the May issue of theSOURCE. This month we offer some hints and tips to help you to deliver a consistent message across multiple event locations and demonstrate how we achieved this for our client EMC.

We also shine the spotlight, or shall we say flaming medieval torches, on Bruges in Belgium, Peckforton Castle in the UK and the Locanda Cipriani Venice, Italy. Although with an historic feel, they showcase 21st Century hospitality at its best.

If you have an enquiry about your next event or if there is any news you’d like to see featured, we would like to hear from you. You can contact us on 0208 995 9495 or here.

Ten tips to help you deliver a consistent brand experience
After twelve years in the industry, the team here at Outsourced Events has amassed a wealth of knowledge from initial event conceptualisation through to post event follow up and everything in between.

One of the biggest challenges we’ve found facing global organisations today is how to maintain a consistent delegate and sponsor experience whilst ensuring the brand and messaging remains constant everywhere. It’s not always easy, however, so here are a few pointers to help you.

EMC Forums 2012  – one vision
Last year we helped and supported EMC, a leading provider of enterprise information solutions to deliver a series of 30 forums across EMEA. We think the mix of brand consistency and delegate experience was just right.

Figures and stats are all very well, but we know you really need to see the event to understand it’s true value. Watch this video that we’ve put together to showcase the EMC Forums and get a flavour of what it was all about…¦

Restaurant of the Month
Locanda Cipriani
Torcello, Venice, Italy

This is a real treat! Set in beautiful gardens, created by Giuseppe Cipriani and still owned by the Cipriani family. It is located on the secluded island of Torcello which is on the north eastern side of the Venetian lagoon, just 10 km from St Marks Square. Simple and elegant, the menu reflects the decor which uses only the freshest local produce to create typical Venetian dishes with a “Cipriani twist”. We recommend taking a water taxi, which takes about 30 minutes from Venice St Marks Square.

Venue of the Month
Peckforton Castle, UK

Rising above the Cheshire landscape, the Castle’s enchanting medieval style and stunning location make it a truly impressive venue. With six individually designed conference and meeting suites, it can cater for up to 350 delegates. The award winning venue offers 48 bedrooms, the Tranquillity spa, two restaurants, falconry, The Land Rover Experience, archery and clay pigeon shooting. Manchester Int. Airport is 40 minutes’ drive away, the historic city of Chester is 30 minutes away with a direct rail link to London Euston within 2 hours. We think this would be great for a VIP or teambuilding event, or even your Christmas party!

Location of the Month
Bruges, Belgium

The Venice of the north, Belgium’s most visited city, a World Heritage site and one of Europe’s most celebrated medieval cities. Picturesque market squares, dreamy canals and old whitewashed alms houses all evoke a world long since gone. Taking only 3h05 minutes on the Eurostar from St Pancras and daily flights from 66 countries arriving at Brussels Airport, we think it’s a great location for an event. There’s plenty to see and do, a plethora of hotels and venues and lots of chocolate!
