November 2013 saw the EMC EMEA Marketing team assemble at The Boscolo Hotel in Budapest for their annual marketing kick-off. The event is usually six months in planning and sees the attendance of over 150 guests from 25 countries across Europe, Africa and The Middle East as well as senior executives from the US.
The team at OE were invited to take an active part in the steering committee set up by EMC to create and deliver the best format for the 2013 event. Once this had been decided, OE took over all the logistical coordination including the venue and accommodation management in addition to managing all the external hospitality functions over the three days.
All the theming and creative vision was led by the event team which included using 3D visualizers, creating a chill-out zone with branded bean bags and utilizing innovative signage within the space.
As always, budgets were tight, but using our supplier contacts, negotiating skills and transparent billing, we were able to deliver a sophisticated event that produced a creative environment for the client and all within budget.
