As sponsors of a series of events in 15 locations, Brocade appointed Outsourced Events to help them maintain a consistent, eye-catching presence everywhere. The main challenges for Brocade were building a social presence within the EMEA region from their US HQ and engaging their target audience digitally. By creating an interactive social media campaign that was linked to the event series, OE helped Brocade not just engage more prospects at each event, but also to acquire followers and build a stronger global audience for their future digital engagement campaigns.
The competition was created to drive traffic to the booth, build excitement, drive registrations pre-event and to collect data. It took the form of a series of 15 photographs of landmarks from the 15 locations which were hosted on a third party app. The delegates had to guess the city where the landmark was located and enter their name and email address via a QR code entry form. The winner was announced at the end of the event and presented with a GoPro camera.
The series of one day events took place across the EMEA region. This meant that the Outsourced Events Team had to be mindful of the legalities and culture within each country as well as the time differences when setting up the competition. The OE team worked closely with the local Brocade team in each location ensuring that they understood the competition, how it worked, what it aimed to do and how it would benefit Brocade.
As well as being responsible for all aspects of the competition, the Outsourced Events team sourced all the giveaways and ensured they were at the right location at the right time! All competition entries were tracked and logged by our team, and an accurate and detailed post event analysis report provided to Brocade.
